Yola is the capital of Adamawa State in northeastern Nigeria and the historic seat of the Adamawa Emirate. Founded in 1841 by Modibbo Adama, the city is divided into Old Yola, the traditional emirate centre, and Jimeta, the modern administrative and commercial district. Situated along the Benue River, Yola is known for its rich Fulani heritage, educational institutions, and its role as the gateway to northeastern Nigeria.

Lamido’s Palace
Attraction 01

Lamido’s Palace

The Lamido’s Palace is the official residence of the Lamido of the Adamawa Emirate. Established in the 19th century by Modibbo Adama, it is one of the most important cultural and historical landmarks in northeastern Nigeria. Visitors can admire its traditional Fulani architecture and learn about the history and customs of the Adamawa Emirate.
